Our theme for this week has been Winter.  The children have been involved in many fun learning activities.  In our dramatic play center, we have had an ice skating rink set up where the children were able to ice skate by putting wax paper under their feet.  They also enjoyed taking turns being the ticket master for the ice rink. 
We brought in fresh snow from outside to put in our sensory table each day.  They children loved exploring with the snow as they measured, weighed, and created sculptures with their snow.
In our math center, we had snowmen counters that the children used in a variety of ways.
In our language center, we had many books depicting winter themes.  We also had materials available for the children to create their own winter books.
